How to Apply for Nutritionist Hygiene Training - Avoid a 600,000 Won Fine

The online hygiene training center of the Korean Association of Nutritionists provides mandatory legal training for licensed nutritionists and cooks. After registering as a member and completing the payment in the training application menu, you can apply for the training. This training is for all nutritionists and cooks working in group meal facilities. In particular, nutritionists belonging to consignment food service businesses must also complete this training. According to Article 56 of the Food Sanitation Act and Article 84 of its Enforcement Rules, 6 hours of food hygiene training are required annually. The training is conducted from March to December each year, and can be completed through a combination of 3 hours of group training and 3 hours of online training, or through a total of 6 hours of online training. Required subjects include the latest food sanitation laws and policies, and elective subjects are also available. The training fee is approximately 35,000 won, and failure to complete the training may result in a fine of up to 600,000 won. Nutritionists and cooks with licenses must ensure they complete this training to stay abreast of the latest regulations and guidelines and to provide safe and hygienic meals.
